Established in April of 1974, Jan started selling dresses, eveningwear, sportswear, and accessories from the street level in the front of her home in Burlington, New Jersey. Within a few years, Jan expanded to larger store just down the road also in Burlington. With Jan's popularity rising year after year, she was forced to move again 6 years later to a more prominent and larger location in Rancocas Woods, New Jersey. After spending 8 years in Rancocas Woods, Jan's moved again to a larger store in the Zagara's Town Place shopping center in Marlton, NJ. After 16 successful years in her Marlton location it enabled Jan's to make a bigger splash in a brand new luxurious 6,000+ square foot building which she recently opened in 2007. This new location located on Route 70 in the heart of Cherry Hill (minutes from the Ben Franklin Bridge) will enable Jan's to grow two-fold, notes Jan Davis. By the end of 2009 Jan's Boutique will be beginning the first phase of it's 7,000 square foot addition which will be located at the back of it's existing store, completion is scheduled for the end of 2010. Phase two of it's expansion will complete a total transformation of the front of it's building featuring a main-stream look and feel. This newest addition will enable Jan's Boutique to service it's customers with an in-house team of seamstresses (right now it's seamstresses work off-premises and by appointment only). In addition Jan's will expand it's sportswear, eveningwear and accessory departments offering more inventory than any store on the east coast. These aggressive expansion plans will undoubtedly propel Jan's Boutique as the premiere women's boutique in the country. After the expansion is complete Jan's inventory selection will increase two-fold with close to 10,000 different dresses in stock!
